Film Profile – Pan’s Labyrinth

Pan’s Labyrinth is one of the greatest of all fantasy films even though it is anchored firmly in the reality of war. An 11 year old witnesses her new stepfather, a sadistic captain in General Franco’s army, hunting down Republican guerrillas refusing to give up the fight, and is drawn into Pan’s labyrinth, a magical world of mystical beings.
